Virgin, UT- Zion National Park Day 1

Our drive to Utah was 5.5 hours from Sedona. We couldn’t wait to arrive in Utah. We are visiting all 5 national parks in Utah on this trip. Zion is our favorite and was our most favorite park on our trip in 2022.

We made a quick stop at Walmart to grab groceries and then we were on our way.

This is our 4th stop since we left Ohio for groceries. This has been great for us. We store fresh fruit and veggies in glass jars in the fridge and that has helped. We have a large fridge and freezer in the bays of our bus which helps us to be able to store more food for longer. This is a huge bonus for us because we only go out for dinner a couple times at each stop. We’d love to enjoy the local food, but waiting on a table for 6 can take some time and we’d rather be hiking. The sunsets happen super late so having that time to hike is also an added bonus.

We enjoy our time on the bus together getting to our destinations. Here are a few pics of our trip to Utah. The temp was 111 degrees when we arrived in Utah. It was HOT!

When we arrived we were ready to get out of the bus. We were exhausted from the long trip. The town next to where we were staying had a massive fire so we had to run our generator when we first arrived. Luckily, no one was injured and we had power within two hours of arriving. We jumped in the pool that evening and walked around down in Springdale, Utah for a bit. This is such a fun town and is the entrance of Zion National Park. It’s beautiful and the views are breathtaking. Things are quite expensive though. A pack of Chips Ahoy cookies were 8.89 in a market and a gallon of milk was 6.50. Yikes! Thankful for our quick stop at the good ole Walmart prior to our arrival.

The views are spectacular. Please take some time and visit Zion National Park. You won’t be disappointed.
