We have heard that we would either love Texas or want to leave ASAP. We arrived in Amarillo, Texas around lunch after a 4.5 hour drive from Oklahoma City. The weather was unseasonably cool and we spent the morning swimming in the indoor pool. The kids LOVED this.

We loved the RV Park. It had all the amenities we felt were perfect for our family.

These wagons were so fun and added such a fun vibe to the place. I wanted to stay in one, but thankful we were in our RV because there was a terrible storm that night. I didn’t get to snap a picture of the adorable rocking chairs near the wagons, but I could’ve stayed there all day in the shade. If you decide to go to Amarillo, this place is for you.

When Eric looked to book the RV park online last minute, he was drawn to the restaurant that was owned by the RV park. Something about eating a 72 oz. steak for free if you can finish it in an hour. We didn’t want to take on the challenge, but we thought it would be fun to watch someone make the attempt. If you are ever in TX, GO SEE THIS PLACE! It was amazing! A bonus that if you booked a spot at the RV park, you would be able to catch a ride in this glorious old limo with horns. The kids thought it was amazing! I was glad we made it there in one piece.

Annie thought that this place was special because she got a cowboy hat with her kids meal.

We watched one guy attempt this, but when 10 minutes was left on the timer, he gave up! Disgusting!

All for now…heading to New Mexico. I’m a day late on my posts, but hoping to write two of them tomorrow.
